She is a former Mayor and council-member in Eagan, and served as the last Commissioner of the Department of Employee Relations â a department she eliminated in 2008 in an effort to promote greater efficiency in government. She also served as the President of the MN Free Market Institute. A successful business person, Pat started and later sold her company which grew to over 75 employees under her leadership. She received numerous recognitions and awards for both her business and public service over the years and was endorsed by every major newspaper for re-election in 2006. Only Pat Anderson has the life and professional experience that uniquely qualifies her to serve most effectively as our State Auditor. Pat will return thoughtful, common-sense management to the Office of the State Auditor. She will again implement inventive reforms to ensure a proactive approach to government oversight.
