Bio

I am a leading member of the technical writing community in India, having spearheaded many initiatives to elevate the profession in the subcontinent. I own and moderate the widely popular Technical Writers India listserv on Yahoo! Groups, which is by far the largest mailing list for professional technical communicators in India. I represented Samsung at a panel discussion on “Internationalization of the technical communication profession” at the 55th STC Summit in Philadelphia, USA (May 2008), and presented a paper on "Exploring different genres of technical writing and its allied fields" at the Sixth Annual Conference of the STC India Chapter in Chennai (December 2004). My work has appeared in STC Intercom, Korea.net, About.com, Wealth, Chandamama, Khaleej Times, IndiaPRWire.com, SouthAsiaNews.com, India Economy Review, Gearlog (a PC Magazine Blog), The Smart Techie, Express Computer, Dataquest, TMCnet.com, Expressitpeople.com, The Content Wrangler, PCS (IEEE Newsletter), among others. I was interviewed by Tech Writer Voices and KBS World Radio Program (Seoul Report). Also, a correspondent for Indo Asian News Service interviewed me for an article on "Technical writing - the new black gold of India." My blog on technical communication related topics is titled, "When the Muse Strikes!" Refer to http://2brahulprabhakar.blogspot.com/ for more information. Other than my own blog, I used to be a guest blogger for Tech-buzz.net. As you might have noticed by now, I enjoy writing; there is nothing else in the world I will give my right arm for.
