Bio

A little of my background, I was born in Bath a small city in England where I lived and grew up. Bath is a very nice place and well worth a visit if you have never been. I went to Prior Park College and eventually emerged with A levels in Physics, Chemistry, maths and an AS in further maths. While at school I started an IT company, it was quite successful at the time. IT was still something quite new for many businesses at the time. However I was told to go to university and study so I gave up the business. My only criteria for university was it must be in London and in must be imperial. So I went to Imperial College to study Material Science and Engineering. I found that Materials was not, me even though my final project on “co precipitation of anodic fuel cells” was very interesting, and went back to IT. However it was worth it as I met my very talented wife www.kanakowakatsuki.com. Over the years I have worked for various IT companies supporting and consulting for small and large companies across lots of sectors and time zones. Some of the more glamorous ones include Frozen food, Industrial flooring, packaging, estate agents and Hedge funds. My Business Essential Richard limited, provides backup solutions to both business and private individuals. Data is the most valuable commodity in business, and I would argue, strongly, that backing up data to multiple secure locations is Essential. I still do IT consultancy mainly focused on cloud based solutions, concentrating on the savings and scalability for businesses. I would strongly advise anyone starting a business to look first cloud solutions.
