I joined Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in July 2006. I am a senior writer based in the agency’s Hong Kong office. In this role, I have provided English-language writing services to the agency’s clients in Asia Pacific, including Microsoft, Samsung, eBay, CSL and ZUJI, and to global clients such as Microsoft Corp. I also manage the agency’s Writing Team in the region, which offers clients a broad range of marketing communications copy, from speeches, bylined articles and case studies, to digital press releases and Web content. My work for clients has appeared in both online and ttraditional media, such as The Standard, The Straits Times, Enterprise Innovation and Microsoft Press Pass. My writing experience covers a wide variety of areas including business, IT, education, law, travel and popular culture. Prior to joining Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, I was based in Mainland China where I assumed editorial and writing roles in both local and foreign media. I was English editor for Bilingual Time in Beijing and worked on writing projects for Beijing Normal University, Interlingua Publishing, Metrozine and Synotrip.com. I earned a joint-major bachelor’s degree in English Literature and History from University College Cork in Ireland and a Certificate of Study in Chinese from Beijing Normal University. My main interest is travel and I blog on this topic at www.officechairtraveller.posterous.com. I have travelled in North Africa, latin America, North America and Asia. In 1999, I moved to China and have lived in Wuhan, rural Fujian, Harbin, Beijing and Shenzhen.
