Lets keep this short and simple. I love food. I grew up in New Orleans which makes me a professional eater and drinker straight out of the womb. I’ve been in the restaurant business for the last 13 years starting at Commanders Palace New Orleans and finishing the last 9 years at N9NE Steak House Las Vegas as a server. Clearly that does not make me a chef but a girl who loves to be around food and just so happens to be pretty good in the kitchen. I decided to base my menu for Sloppi Jo’s around Hatch New Mexico green chiles because they are perfect to eat all day long; breakfast, lunch and late night. A lot of people aren’t familiar with Hatch green chiles so I’m hoping to bring something new to Sin City. The chiles flavor is between a jalapeno and a green bell pepper and range in heat from mild to hot. I fell in love with the chiles when I took a vacation to Santa Fe for the Wine and Chile festival. I didn’t understand what the big deal was at first and then I started to having cravings. I wanted Christmas sauce on everything!!! (Green and red chile sauce together). And Sloppi Jo’s was created! I’m excited to join the food trucker world and to help create a community of street food in Las Vegas.
