I've a passion and a purpose for creating a business and way of life as a conflict coach that fits with my values, 'resolving conflict and bridging differences between people'. I've been working with people for over 20 years, training, facilitating, coaching and mediating and one thing I can say is that we are all more similar than we are different. Here's a bit of my life story.....born in London to Parents of Guyanese descent, I haven't followed a traditional career path; in my early teens I wanted to be a chef at a time when that was pretty impossible for women, at least in the top gastronomic establishments. Disillusioned with that I changed career, took a Sociology degree and began a quest for learning about other cultures and people that continues to this day. I've travelled to many different countries, a three week trip through Russia, two months in India travelling with an Indian girlfriend, (that raised a few eyebrows) trips to Africa, Kenya and Ghana where I experienced, surprisingly, culture shock for the first time. That made me feel uncomfortable, at the time and afterwards until I realised that this is a natural process of being in new and different places, whoever you are, whatever background you come from. Since then,I've visited the Caribbean, Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, Europe and North Africa whilst raising a family. After I completed my Sociology degree, I began working as drugs counsellor and later became a professional and personal development trainer and facilitator. Working extensively in the Public sector, I gained lots of expertise working with a culturally diverse client group and found my travels put to good use. For the last decade I have been mediating and coaching, resolving'Outer conflict' and healing 'inner conflict'. It's been a long journey to get here but I'm happier now than I have ever been and that's because I'm doing what I love with people who value what I have to offer, great times!!
