Squid Ink Kollective is run by Brian Maclaskey and Lynnea Edwards. The two have been making love, music and handcrafts together for over 6 years. S.I.K. is all about creativity, art and having a good time with it. Most of the designs we produce are Brian's, or a collaboration between him and whoever is hanging out with us in our workspace. Additionally, we really have a thing for this earth we live on, and are striving as best we can to reduce our footprint while spreading our passion of printing. The art of screen printing has a long way to go before being totally green. Beware, folks, of brands who say they are green or organic. These words are much grayer than we all hope they are. But S.I.K. is doing its best to stay green and stay informed on the latest technology. We hope in the future to cross totally over to the bamboo and hemp clothing lines, which are much less taxing on the earth, and whose materials grow exponentially faster and are less water and soil intensive than cotton.
