He founded Stein Counseling in 2001. Ted has a strong Christian faith and unwavering commitment to glorify God in all things. His past and current credentials include, but are not limited to: NBCC, LPC, National Trainer of Parenting with Love and Limits, La Crosse County Governing Council, American Red Cross Disaster Relief Mental Health Volunteer, memberships in ACA, APA, & IAMFT. Trained in: Parenting the Out of Control Teenager Family Therapy Model; Solution Focused Marital Therapy; Gottman Marital Therapy; Certified Corrective Thinking Practitioner; Multi - Cultural Competence, Circle of Security and MacArthur Preschool Attachment Classification System , and MMPI-2. His expertise has been sought in local media regarding delinquents, parenting issues, alcohol and drug issues, marriage issues and PTSD. He frequently consults with La Crosse County on program development. Prior to SCCS, Ted was an Adjunct Faculty Member at Viterbo University teaching undergrad courses of Effective Behavior and Interviewing. Ted's current goals include developing a specialized database for other mental health private practitioners/clinics providing an internet based solution business productivity enhancement tool. Ted is also developing fine tuned screening tools to reduce treatment times and provide more specialized treatment specific to Child Protective Services Agencies.
