Bio

I am a writer, blogger, editor, and photographer based in the United States. I travel worldwide and bring my skills and extensive experience as a writer and copy-editor to freelance assignments. Additionally, I am a scriptwriter and produce video projects. I was born and raised in Fort Payne, Alabama. I started shooting during college at Auburn University and began my 19+ year career in publishing for daily newspapers in 1990. From 1993-1997, I operated the MasterWorks studio. I apprenticed for Retired USAF photojournalist Mike Caldwell and portrait artist Brad Cansler of Chattanooga, Tennessee; I was a member of the Chattanooga Professional Photographers Guild (CPPG) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA). In 2001, I created an online magazine called Men's Click. The California-based Tri-Media Corp. acquired Mensclick in 2004 and hired me as the full-time Editor-in-Chief, responsible for all editorial content, including hiring models, photographers, stylists, and makeup artists for weekly photo pictorials for Savvy.com. Since July 2008, I have worked for the MavTV television network, which is available to millions of homes in over 70 markets across the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Australia. My official title is Online Editorial & Marketing. I am tasked with, among other things, increasing awareness of our company's brand, MavTV. MavTV is a television network available to millions of homes in over 70 markets across the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. It is geared toward men, 18-35. We have motorsports, beautiful women, funny shows like RAD GIRLS, gadget shows, poker shows, etc. Call your cable or satellite provider to request our channel. As a photographer, I've shot just about everything commercially (photojournalism, portraiture, glamour, sports, weddings, industrial), but my specialty is editorial photography.
