** Vision ** We acknowledge the profound social, emotional, and spiritual distress that a cancer diagnosis, the ensuing treatment and related experiences will have on a child and their family. At Striving for More, our vision is a community where all children with cancer and their families receive emotional and spiritual support: • beginning from the moment of diagnosis; • regardless of where they receive treatment; • regardless of their socioeconomic status or insurance coverage; • and with seamless continuity and high quality. ** Mission ** Striving for More's vision is a community where all children with cancer and their families receive proper emotional and spiritual support. To bring that vision into reality, we will: • provide best practices and funding to pediatric oncology organizations that have a shared vision and the leadership to ensure long term success of the programs that are implemented; • raise awareness of the importance of properly supporting the emotional and spiritual needs of kids with cancer; • and increase knowledge that the gold ribbon represents childhood cancer awareness.
