My love of boating started 33 years ago when I bought my first ski boat. Progressing to a 48ft cruiser in 1988 my love of teak, stainless and marine accessories expanded. 18 months later my enthusiasm for the marine range of products led to my ordering a 55ft custom built cruiser, spending the next five months decking it out before it even saw water! It was during this time that I found there was a shortage of engineering and woodworking people to produce what I required for the boat which included teak coffee tables, teak dining tables and teak entertainment units. The stainless products included bimini, decent helm chairs, davits, dinghy cradles as well as an elevating swimming platform. Shortly after finally launching my boat it felt natural to set up a specialised business to fill that void and in 1992 under the banner of Tailored Marine Accessories my company was formed. From 1992 to 2003 TMA expanded so much that it built and produced engine room bracketory, lounge area cabinetry, hydraulic winch installations, hydraulic platform wave runner chocks, davits, biminis and rocket launchers etc. Naturally my passion for customising boats led onto game chairs, outriggers, downriggers, rod holders and other fishing accessories and concluded with being the producer of the largest range of game fishing accessories in the Southern hemisphere. I decided on a change of lifestyle in 2003 and moved to the Gold Coast. Following a six year break I have now decided to utilise my 30 odd years of expertise by specialising in the field of custom built high end teak furniture and custom, high end stainless steel.
