Bio

Quite passionate about my profession: employer branding. In my vision 'People make brands' and therefore Employer branding is the only true strategy to ensure lasting competitive advantage through your people. A great field to be working in, on the edge of Strategy, organisation development, HR and marketing (communications). I work as strategy director employer branding at ARA, a Rotterdam based leading advertising agency in the Netherlands. In our specialised business Unit, ARA M/V, we create the brand images and tools for organisations to position themselves to talent. We always start at identity; Who are we? What makes us different? What gives us meaning and what binds us in our culture? From this corporate soul, brand identity we develop authentic communications concepts and means that are relevant, defferentiating and aspiring for the actual employees as well as future ones. We strive to be one of the best every day, and we are proud to work for clients such as The Royal Dutch Airforce, The Cities of Rotterdam, 's-Hertogenbosch and Schiedam, Sara lee, Microsoft, BAM (the leading building company), Croon Electrotechnique, The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, Abvakabo (union), CBS, a.o. Next to the role within ARA, i'm the chairman of Recruiters United, the main platform for professionals in the (broadly defined) dutch recruitment market. We try to share the trends and rtopics in our extremely volatile and develooping makrkets and offer inspiration for professionals who want to grow and develop themselves in this great profession.
