Bio

Jayne is the Director of Interfaith Sanctuary Homeless Shelter and the Viriditas Center. She is a contemplative-activist, a secular carmelite (aspirant), and an advocate for those who are poor and marginalized within our world. Since 1991, Jayne has provided service for organizations including the Idaho Hunger Action Council, Idaho Roundtable Against Hunger, Temple of Light Prison Ministry, Ada County Juvenile Court Services, Habitat for Humanity, Ada County Human Rights Task Force, the Interfaith Alliance of Idaho, and Wellbriety for Prisons/White Bison. In 2009, she was honored with a Women Making History award from Boise State University. Jayne is a spiritual director/mentor for people who are called to integrate the contemplative path with compassionate service & action in the world. She has over 25 years formation and training in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, a lifetime of service & activism, and is a member of Spiritual Directors International.
