I'm a midlife career changer. After 14 years of teaching, and a Masters Degree, I was laid off in June 2009. Not able to find work, I created my own. My start up business is called writers1stop.com and provides professional writing services. I write at the Divine Moms blog on pandoraspantry.com. It's a blog devoted to mothers raising children with disabilities. I am creating content for Ellechor Publishing House's writing workshop and will be a virtual teacher for it; excited about that! In June 2010 I will be a writer and editor for Like A Drop Of Water (which is scheduled to launch in June) and Boston University is one sponsor. Dick Wainright, a published children's author and CEO created the site for children and topics are related to environment and global warming. I freelance for guru.com and I hope to find steady work as a writer someday; if wishes come true I'll find success or at least make the monthly mortgage! Call me crazy; but maybe someone who needs a writer will think I have talent and offer me a job that actually pays! I can dream about it anyway. Thanks for reading! LU
