Bio

After working with many local & foreign organisations for nearly a decade, we changed direction slightly to build a dynamic database for all language tutors & teachers, homestay tutors & host families. They have lots of experience of both teaching english as a foreign language plus organising trips for large amounts of students and their host families. The site is fairly new but is growing in popularity on a daily basis. We also welcome genuine language schools worldwide, who have a real interest in students & the teachers who work for them. Host families & homestay tutors on the site are encouraged to build a profile, add photographs & at least one video of their home or the family or a teaching session. www.xilfee.eu are actively seeking new host families & homestay tutors plus teachers of all foreign languages to add their details to the site. The service is currently free. Foreign students who are learning a language are also encouraged to put their details on the site. This means that a student can apply to the teacher and the language teacher can accept of decline after viewing their details. We are also looking to collaborate with suppliers of TEFL/CELTA organisations so that we can recommend new teachers. If you are interested in becoming a homestay tutor or teacher but have no experience, please email me or take a look at the site for further information. All homestay tutors need to be able to offer pleasant, clean accommodation and a welcoming atmosphere, good quality home cooking and friendship. If this sounds like you, you may want to consider hosting students first of all (you can build a profile just to host students if you wish) and if you find you enjoy hosting, you can then consider teaching. If you have a teaching degree you may want to take a weekend tefl course or if you have no previous teaching experience, you can take a CELTA course which will give you a good, sound understanding of the English language and how to teach.
