YouBloom is a community-based platform created by artists for artists and their friends and fans. Established to support emerging talent, YouBloom's Vision is to enable musicians and artists to fulfill their potential, building and connecting them directly with a wider audience and -- importantly -- helping them to make a living. Likewise for non-artists, YouBloom opens up a multi-genre portfolio of music and creativity to friends and fans, hungry for originality and tired of being spoon-fed art and music. In keeping with supporting emerging talent, YouBloom.com is launching the YouBloom Song Contest, conceived and being judged by Bob Geldof (a founding collaborator on YouBloom). Further judges comprise an outstanding team of music industry professionals, including international A&R legend Nigel Grainge, (www.nigelgrainge.com). In keeping with YouBloom's vision of artistic diversity, craftsmanship and sustainability, our Song Contest seeks out quality original song writing, production and performance, across a broad and eclectic range of music genres. YouBloom's criteria include originality, song structure, melody, lyrics, production and emotion. As a new decade dawns, and against the fast-paced and changing backdrop of the global music industry, the YouBloom platform is being developed as a future-proof, robust means for artists and fans to communicate, learn, distribute, earn and share. The platform is web-based, (soon mobile phone compatible), and we will be rolling out some pretty cool features over the coming months. Here at YouBloom we believe in encouraging artists and creatives to fulfill their potential... and to make a living doing it! We also believe in the power of the individual to build artists' careers and horizons, and to determine the 'next big thing'. We're certain that people power is, and will remain, a greater force and a stronger voice than manufactured music and the micro-celebrity culture.
